19 Beauty Brands Giving Back for Pride Month

A woman with a rainbow eye makeup look holding a makeup palette.

Rainbow packaging and special-edition makeup shades are a couple of ways brands show their support for the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month, but plenty of beauty companies are taking their activism to the next level. Skincare, makeup, and hair care companies have vowed to donate a portion (sometimes even 100 percent) of their proceeds to nonprofit organizations and charities determined to make a difference.

For the month of June, we're buying products with purpose. Looking to try a summer nail trend? Head to Sally Hansen—this year's collection features 11 new metallic shades inspired by the Progress Pride Flag. In the market for an iridescent highlighter? Stop by Kevyn Aucoin Beauty—they’re giving a percent of proceeds from their pride collection to the Hetrick Martin Institute, a non-profit that was near and dear to the brand's late founder Kevyn Aucoin's heart.

For the full lowdown on how to shop smart this month, scroll ahead—we’ve rounded up all the beauty companies supporting LGBTQ+ organizations.

Peace Out Skincare

Peace Out Skincare's pride launches are always fabulous, and this year's selection is no exception. From now until July 7, $5 from each limited edition Pride Acne Dots—the brand's signature product reimagined with a pride flag design—will be donated to The Trevor Project, an organization committed to suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ young adults. Peace Out has committed to an overall minimum contribution of $25,000.

"June is a month of celebration and awareness, marking both Pride and Acne Awareness Month. This year, I’m sharing a photo of my 15-year-old self, sharing a moment from my teenage years filled with acne struggles and the challenging journey of coming out. Like many others, my story is one of resilience and self-discovery, a reminder that the path to self-acceptance is often paved with obstacles," shared the brand's founder and CEO, Enrico Frezza, in a statement.

Eve Lom

High-performance natural skincare brand Eve Lom’s Glow with Pride Set was created in collaboration with model and actor Raphael Say. Featuring the brand’s six best-sellers (there's no better set setup), the net proceeds of each gift set sold will be donated to Stonewall, a UK-based charity supporting equal rights for LGBTQ+ people around the world. What's more? The set features eye-catching, rainbow foiled metallic packing to illuminate "not only the skin-loving botanicals Eve Lom is known for, but the light we share with the world when our true colors shine."

Ouai

For their June 2024 Ouai pride initiative, the beloved haircare brand (you have to try their new St. Barts scented Hair and Body Mist) is donating to the The Trevor Project and Los Angeles LGBT Center, whose work "helps the LGBTQ community be their most authentic selves and live life their Ouai. " Each organization will receive $50,000.

Quip

For the month of June, a portion of purchases on oral care brand Quip's site will be donated to two LGBTQ+ organizations: We Are Family (which provides life-affirming and life-saving programs for LGBTQ+ young people that have a lasting and measurable impact) and Encircle (which offers essential mental health services, resources, and tools for LGBTQ+ youth, young adults, and families). If you need a place to start shopping, their new rainbow pride collection is adorable—but $50,000 will be donated no matter which colorway you choose.

Kevyn Aucoin

As has become tradition, the cosmetics company is teaming up with the Hetrick-Martin Institute, aka the world’s largest LGBTQ+ youth support organization, for Pride 2024. During the entire month of June, they're donating five percent of sales from products in their beautifully curated Pride collection—the glass glow face & body glosses ($35), glass glow lips ($28), volume mascara ($32), and neo-blushes ($40)—up to $10,000.

"This initiative underscores Kevyn Aucoin Beauty’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and advocacy, carrying forward Kevyn Aucoin's passion for supporting LGBTQ+ rights," shares the brand.

Freck

Remi Brixton founded Freck Beauty in 2017 with a single product: the Freck OG. Nowadays, the playful brand's lineup includes everything from green eyeshadow sticks to chocolate brown lip liners and those original freckle pens. This month, Brixton has decided to use Freck's Instagram account to highlight other LGBTQ+ beauty founders with the social media series, Serving Face. “Such an essential part of queerness is self-discovery and evolution and forever learning about yourself," she shared in a post.

Sally Hansen

For the sixth year in a row (the partnership kicked off in 2019!), Sally Hansen is partnering with GLAAD, a media organization changing the narrative around the LGBTQ+ community. Over the years, the brand and its Insta-Dri Pride nail polish collections have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the organization—and crafted super cute and bright manicures in the process. This year's collection features 11 new metallic shades inspired by the Progress Pride Flag.

Colourpop

Whether you’re attending a parade or just want to have some fun with your eye makeup, allow us to direct your attention to Colourpop's bright makeup range. With a true rainbow of options to choose from, Colourpop is donating 10 percent of each sale of some multicolored faves—including their gorgeous and festive fade into hue and she's a rainbow eyeshadow palettes—to The Trevor Project.

MAC Cosmetics

Is this the only eyeshadow palette you'll ever need? Quite possibly. MAC Cosmetics' limited-edition 40 Shades of Pride eye palette is loaded with 40 new and already beloved shades. 100 percent of proceeds from the $150 palette will support the M·A·C Viva Glam fund's mission of LGBTQ+ equality.

Lottie London

If you’re in the market for some fun makeup (read face gems, bright colors, and stamp liners), check out Lottie London, ASAP. This year, they're supporting LGBTQ+ creators and businesses by letting fans submit any type of content they want, which they'll repost on their own social media channels.

Glow Recipe

This year, Glow Recipe is the official sponsor of the nonprofit Heritage of Pride. Their donation supports the creation of vibrant Pride events in New York that "inspire, educate, honor, and celebrate our diverse community in a safe and welcoming environment."

And if you need help deciding what to shop, the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pore-Tight Toner is a cult favorite for good reason. Whether you want to try it out for the first time or restock, you best shop now. The brand launched a limited-edition rainbow bottle a few years ago, and it's back again by popular demand.

Noto Botanics

A Pride present for you! Throughout June, gender-fluid beauty brand Noto Botanics is offering 15 percent off their site. If you need shopping help, start with the Deep Serum, a vegan face oil formulated to "brighten, tighten, and deeply penetrate and repair the skin's barrier."

Urban Decay

Urban Decay is teaming up with 12ON12 for the Loud + Proud vinyl record, which features 12 carefully selected tracks that resonate with themes of freedom, pride, and unapologetic self-expression. Featuring custom artwork by Thaddeus Coates, $50 of every $75 record will be donated to the Stonewall Community Foundation alongside Urban Decay’s total donation of $50,000. Created by and for the LGBTQ+ community, the foundation raises funds for hundreds of nonprofits annually across more than 30 issue areas that advance queer liberation, including racial, social, and economic justice.

With music by Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, SOPHIE, and Slayyyter (among others!), you can enjoy the tracks and feel oh so good about your listening habits. While this technically isn't a beauty product, we all know the importance of a getting-ready soundtrack. You can't get much better than this.

Thirteen Lune

If you want to shop a number of amazing LGBTQ+ owned brands in one place, look no further than Thirteen Lune. Co-founded by Patrick Herning, a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, the site has a myriad of LGBTQ+-founded brands to discover every month of the year.

Leland Francis

Gender-neutral, plant-based, luxury skincare and fragrance company Leland Francis is a big supporter of the LGBTQ+ community every day, but they're doing something extra special this month. For every purchase from their Pansy line (a vibrant fruity-floral scent), they're donating 20 percent of net profits to Sage USA, the Ali Forney Center, and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Garnier

This year, Garnier is also supporting Heritage of Pride, the nonprofit organization that plans and produces New York City’s official LGBTQ+ Pride events each year. To mark the occasion, the brand collaborated with artist Thaddeus Coates, aka hippypotter, on a limited-edition micellar cleansing water bottle.

Poppy & Pout

Who can say no to another (great) lip balm? Not only is Poppy & Pout's limited-edition Pride Punch lip balm back, the brand is spending June donating 10 percent of its retail proceeds to Encircle, the non-profit organization with a mission to bring family and community together to enable LGBTQ+ youth to thrive. They work to provide a safe haven where you can hang out, join a creative program, or even attend therapy.

Beekman 1802

"As a queer-founded brand committed to spreading Kindness, we're so proud to have created this limited-edition boxed set in honor of Pride and creating a more welcoming world for everyone," shares Beekman 1802 of their Bloom With Pride Set. Featuring the bestselling Bloom Cream Moisturizer and a rainbow of mini booster face serums, the set comes in a limited-edition Pride box designed by queer contemporary artist Elly Ayling. And perhaps most importantly? A portion of profits will be donated to the Ali Forney Center in support of homeless LGBTQ+ youth.

Ardell Beauty

You never need an excuse to throw on some falsies, but Pride events always fit the bill. For the entirety of June, Ardell is partnering with Reach LA, a non-profit "where young LGBTQ+ people of color use creative arts, health/wellness, personal development and social enterprise to increase self sustainability." Plus, get a free gift with your $50 purchase when you use the code PROUD24.
