An 18-month-old child remains in hospital a month after a motorbike crashed with a woman and a pram in south-east London, before the rider fled.
The toddler - who had been inside the buggy when the crash happened - and 29-year-old woman were taken to a south London hospital by ambulance, following the horror collision on Eltham Hill shortly after 3pm on May 11.
On Monday, more than a month on from the crash, a Scotland Yard spokesperson confirmed the child remains in hospital with serious, “life-changing” injuries.
Officers also released images of the motorbike and rider and urged anyone who recognises them to come forward.
On May 18, a teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail.
Detective Constable Tristan Hunter, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said on Monday: “I would encourage anyone who knows who the rider might be to speak with us. They failed to stop at the scene following their reckless riding.
“A young child has suffered life-changing injuries that will continue to require ongoing treatment, including rehab.
“Please call police and tell us what you know.”
