A teenager has been charged with the murder of a man stabbed to death in south London on New Year’s Eve.
The boy cannot be named for legal reasons because of his age.
At around 12:35am on Wednesday, December 31, police were called to reports of a fatal stabbing on Grove Street in Lewisham.
An air ambulance and paramedics rushed to the scene where 23-year-old John Temitope Onetufo of Deptford suffered a stab wound to the chest.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 23-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday but has since been bailed.
An 18-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday, January 4 on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. She has also been bailed.
The teenager charged with murder will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Youth Court later today.
