A 16-year-old boy has died two weeks after being stabbed in south London.
Police found Rommel McKoy with serious injuries in Hicken Road, Brixton just after 7.30pm on April 4.
He was taken to hospital but lost his fight for life on April 20.
Two boys, aged 16 and 17, were arrested and bailed until May.
Rommel’s grieving mother is being supported by police.
Additional officers have been drafted into the local area in recent weeks.
It is the fifth teenage homicide in the capital this year, after a record 30 last year.
Detective Chief Inspector Sal Minhas, who is leading the murder investigation, said: “A 16-year-old boy has lost his life and his family deserve answers to their questions about what happened to him.
“I want to reassure Rommel’s family that we are committed to bringing the person or people responsible to justice.”
On April 13, boxer Teon Campbell-Pitter, 16, was knifed to death outside a community centre in New Cross. Two 15-year-old males have been charged with murder.
