A planning application has been submitted for a £150million drinks can plant which will bring 160 jobs to the outskirts of Belfast.
Ardagh Metal Packaging say the ‘state-of-the-art’ factory, at Global Point in Newtownabbey, will serve ‘key customers’ including Diageo and Coca-Cola.
The news is announced today (Tuesday) and comes just days after drinks giant Diageo announced a £24million investment in its Belfast packaging plant due to rising demand for new Guinness products including their Nitrosurge tins.
