An ongoing Israel Defense Forces operation at the Nur al-Shams refugee camp in the occupied West Bank has resulted in the deaths of at least 14 people, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. The operation, which began on Thursday, has seen the IDF engage with residents of the camp, resulting in casualties on both sides.

Palestinian authorities have reported that they have been able to retrieve bodies and assist injured individuals from the camp as the IDF has partially withdrawn from the area. Videos captured by residents show a bulldozer demolishing a building as IDF vehicles depart the camp after more than 24 hours of the raid. Ambulances have been seen entering the camp following the IDF's withdrawal.

According to the IDF, their forces have killed 10 'terrorists' and apprehended eight wanted suspects during the operation. The health ministry and Palestinian news agency Wafa have confirmed that among the casualties are at least one child and one teenager. Additionally, reports indicate that the IDF has conducted mass arrests of young individuals and caused damage to key infrastructure within the camp.

The operation in Nur al-Shams appears to be one of the largest in the West Bank since October 7. While the IDF has withdrawn from the immediate area, they are reportedly still present in the nearby city of Tulkarm.
