13 year old girl taken to hospital following 25ft fall from cliffs in Cullercoats

A 13 year old girl was taken to hospital following after falling 25ft from the cliffs while climbing in Cullercoats Bay on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency services, including a Great North Air Ambulance helicopter, attended the incident on the beach just before 3pm.

Police confirmed that the child had fallen while climbing but fortunately did not sustain serious injuries and that they were conscious and breathing as they were transported to hospital accompanied by the mother.
