A man has been arrested after a 13-year-old was it by a car in Cardiff. Police were called to De Clare Drive, Radyr, on Tuesday, March 28, at around 3:30pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
A 13-year-old boy was taken to the University Hospital Wales by road ambulance where he remains. South Wales Police have confirmed that a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and he has since been released under investigation.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Shortly after 3.30pm yesterday, South Wales Police was called to a report of a road traffic collision on De Clare Drive, Radyr.
"A blue Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with a 13-year-old boy who remains in hospital. A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and he has since been released under investigation."
The ambulance service confirmed they had also attended the incident.
