NAGPUR: Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis termed the flood situation in Wardha and Chandrapur as grave. He visited affected parts of these two districts on Tuesday.
“Excess rain in June and July (120% to 190%) in Nagpur division has caused losses to the farming sector. As per primary estimates, crops on 1,34,871 hectares of land suffered losses. We have directed the administration to conduct a proper panchnama and treat the problem with sensitivity and objectively so that farmers can get an early compensation.”
