In a tragic incident that has shocked the community of Humboldt, Tennessee, a 12-year-old girl has been charged with murder for allegedly smothering her 8-year-old cousin while she slept. The incident, which occurred on July 15, was captured on a security camera inside the bedroom the two girls shared.
According to the county prosecutor, the recording shows the older child using bedding to suffocate her cousin, who was sleeping in the top bunk. After the younger girl passed away, the 12-year-old reportedly cleaned up the victim and repositioned her body.
