The USFL is officially back for a second consecutive season.
The upstart league kicked things off in 2022 with a 10-week season and two-week postseason, with the Birmingham Stallions defeating the Philadelphia Stars 33-30 in the USFL championship. Eight teams will return to play in the USFL’s second season in 2023, but this time around they’ve got the XFL (who are just wrapping up their season) to compete with. They’ll have four games set to be played this upcoming weekend, with two on Saturday and two on Sunday.
So exactly how many former Kansas City Chiefs players are on USFL opening day rosters? We’ve identified 12 players who are set to suit up and see action this weekend. There is a former Chiefs player on every USFL team with the exception of the Pittsburgh Maulers. There is even one former second-round draft pick from Brett Veach’s tenure who is set to play in this league.
