As the years pass and pigmentation, fine lines and deeper wrinkles become more noticeable, it can be tempting to reach for a heavier, fuller-coverage foundation in an attempt to disguise them.
But that’s not necessarily the best approach, says make-up artist Lisa Potter-Dixon. She explains: “Many of the new-gen foundations are ideal for mature skin, because they act more like skincare, often with generous levels of moisturising hyaluronic acid, peptides and squalane to plump skin. They have the complexion-smoothing effects of a BB or a CC cream in one, delivering radiant, healthy-looking skin that looks like your skin.”
