114 new Covid cases in Gurugram, positivity rate drops to 3.9%

GURUGRAM: The city reported 114 new Covid cases on Friday. It had reported 229 cases on the previous day. The positivity rate dropped to 3.9% from 6.1% on Thursday.

Gurgaon currently has 710 active cases, out of which 15 patients are hospitalised.

The health department conducted 3,668 tests on Friday, while 3,746 samples were tested on Thursday.

The city logged a total of 3,911 cases in July so far while June saw 8,046 cases and 7,619 cases in May.

Haryana, meanwhile, witnessed 428 new cases on Friday. The state now has 2,392 active cases while the positivity rate is at 2.9%.

No death was reported in the state, 451 patients recovered during the day.

Ambala and Panchkula have emerged as new hotspots. Gurgaon reported the highest 114 cases, followed by 38 in Panchkula and 36 in Ambala.

On the vaccination front, total 32,235 got the vaccination jabs.
