102-year-old woman says secret to a long life is staying single and not getting married

A resident of a care home in Scotland has revealed her secret to a long life is staying away from the opposite sex.

Cathy Hillock, who recently celebrated her 102nd birthday, told fellow residents and staff that she credits the lack of men in her life as one of her secrets to reaching the milestone birthday.

To celebrate in style, staff at Beechwood Care Home in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, threw a roaring 20s Great Gatsby themed birthday party for Cathy’s family and friends. Residents and staff all donned their feathered finery for the big day.
