A Belfast rugby club continues to grow from strength to strength, 100 years on from its formation. This Autumn marks a century since Civil Service (NI) RFC was established.
The club was born out of the efforts of staff of the then newly established Northern Ireland Civil Service. And the rest, as they say, is history.
After some years of success playing at a junior level, the club was given senior status by the Ulster Branch in the 1928/29 season. They celebrated by winning the senior league at its first attempt, a feat the club repeated in 1969-70.
