Ten men have been arrested following a clash between Old Firm fans outside Hampden on the morning of the Scottish League Cup final.
At around 8.50am on Sunday, February 26, a large scale disturbance took place outside Hampden stadium involving Rangers and Celtic supporters, with violence directed at each other and officers.
Prior to the game, fans from both sides were given pre-arranged access by the stadium operator to set up displays. Celtic fans were allowed in on the Saturday while Rangers supporters went in on the Sunday morning.
Following a CCTV appeal last week of images taken during the clash, cops today said ten people had been arrested.
Eight people, aged 17, 17, 20, 21, 21, 24, 25 and 25, have been released on an undertaking and two men, aged 43 and 21, were set to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland supports the event organisers, being the clubs and the football authorities, to create a safe environment for people to attend and enjoy football matches.
"These arrests show that such violence and disorder has no place in football and our enquiries continue in order to identify those responsible for the disorder inside and outside of Hampden at this fixture.
"We are committed to working with our partners to maximise the safety of all persons attending football fixtures."
A spokesperson for the SPFL said: “We have been working closely with Police Scotland and the Scottish FA to investigate and address the unacceptable behaviour of a small minority of supporters at the recent Viaplay Cup Final.
“We are encouraged by the progress which has already been made and look forward to more of the individuals involved being identified in the near future."
