Fifty years after they formed, Kiss are finally hanging up their guitars, packing away the make-up, and putting the platform boots and metal codpieces. The self-proclaimed Hottest Band In The World will play what are being billed as their final shows on Dec 1 and 2, 2023 at Madison Square Garden in New York, the city which gave birth to them all those years ago.
Of course, Kiss have announced their retirement more than once before, but this time it looks like it’s really happening. The setlist on their current End Of The Road tour – which began way back in 2018, before being interrupted by the pandemic – has been understandably stacked with the classics: Detroit Rock City, Love Gun, Lick It Up, God Of Thunder, Shout It Out Loud and Rock And Roll All Nite.
