'10-15 cases a month from armed forces', says SSKM's Institute of Psychiatry Kolkata

KOLKATA: According to the statistics available at SSKM's Institute of Psychiatry - Centre of Excellence (IOP), the institute receives at least 10-15 referred mental health cases from the armed forces a month.

That includes personnel from central armed force units, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) posted in Bengal. A particular protocol has also been laid down to address their mental health problems.
