1 month after launch, my favorite indie Sims 4 competitor has sold 1 million copies – and only 170 "naked Charlies" showed up uninvited

Paralives.

Paralives, the vibrant life sim now rivaling EA's own life sim gem, The Sims 4, is racking up quite the community after just a month in the wild – one that now boasts over a million fans, in fact.

The recent indie release's developer, Paralives Studio, reveals as much in a new post aptly dubbed "1,000,000 copies" on Steam. After thanking players for their support and promising "to keep improving the game thanks to all your suggestions and feedback," the team goes on to unveil some fun statistics.

First, it looks back at the six patches and hotfixes that have arrived since Paralives' May 25 launch. Then, it covers the life sim's average daily players: a whopping 80,000, just last week. Folks playing have spent on average 11 hours or so in-game as well, sent in 350,000 feedback and bug reports, and created 22,000 mods for the Steam Workshop – now that's impressive.

Doubly so as devs have spoken out in support of modding (yes, even NSFW mods), and it appears that fans have been very receptive to that.
