York Mid North police torched illegal drugs worth $1 million at Wallaroo, south of Port Pirie in South Australia.
More than 700 seized drug items, including marijuana, methamphetamine and other illicit substances, were destroyed in the burn.
The drugs were confiscated in a region including Port Pirie and the Mid North.

Police said each seizure, ranging from personal possession right up to commercial quantities, helped to reduce harm in the community.
The street value of the illicit drugs was estimated at more than $1 million.
Kadina Country Fire Service volunteers helped police with the drug burn. Such programs are held regularly throughout the year.
