One person is dead and three others hospitalized after a shooting in West Englewood on Monday night.
Police officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 6100 block of South Justine Street around 9:10 p.m. and found four victims, according to police. A 35-year-old man with two gunshot wounds to the head was dead at the scene.
A 60-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound to her head and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital while a 52-year-old victim was shot in the upper right thigh and was transported to Stroger Hospital — both were listed in critical condition.
A 64-year-old man was shot in the right forearm and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.
Witnesses told police at the scene that they saw a man shooting down the alley from where it met the street before fleeing in an unknown direction, according to police.
No one is in custody. Area detectives are investigating.
