US carries out daytime attack against Iran in latest escalation

  • President Donald Trump reportedly held an emergency meeting in the Situation Room yesterday to discuss a massive offensive against Iran in a bid to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, three sources with knowledge of the matter told Axios.
  • Trump reversed a plan to impose a 20 percent fee on maritime traffic, stating that trade and investment deals with Gulf states would instead secure the waterway.
