Man arrested after alleged 'shooting' outside Chris Brown's Los Angeles mansion

An alleged 'shooting' took place outside singer Chris Brown's home in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (01.05.26)

A man was arrested after allegedly firing shots outside Chris Brown's Los Angeles home on Friday afternoon (01.05.26).

Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers responded to the Tarzana neighbourhood at around 4.11pm following reports that the 35-year-old suspect allegedly fired at a woman's vehicle following an argument.

An LAPD Media Relations officer told Complex: "Yesterday around 4:11[P.M.], LAPD officers from the West Valley division responded to the 19600 block of Citrus Ridge Drive to reports of a shooting that had just occurred."

Dispatch audio obtained by TMZ captured officers being sent to the scene and a description of the male suspect, including what he wore at the time.

The outlet reported that LAPD officers interviewed the woman and the suspect, with the latter having claimed to authorities that the argument broke out when the woman refused to leave the area.

The male suspect also claimed to officers that the dispute escalated after the woman allegedly drove over his foot, which prompted him to allegedly fire shots with a "CO2-style weapon" at her vehicle.

The suspect was reportedly taken into custody at the scene and arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm and vandalism.

It is unclear whether Chris, 36, was inside his multi-million dollar mansion at the time of the alleged "shooting".

Meanwhile, the Yeah 3x hitmaker - who pleaded guilty to physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, singer Rihanna, in 2009 - is currently awaiting trial in England over an alleged nightclub attack.

He was arrested in May 2025 over an alleged altercation with producer Abe Diaw back in 2023 at London's Tape nightclub, but was released on bail and allowed to continue his Breezy Bowl tour, and later pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm to his former friend.

The two-time Grammy award-winning artist returned to court again the following month, where he pleaded not guilty to causing actual bodily harm to the music producer, and a charge of having an offensive weapon - a tequila bottle - in the alleged "unprovoked" attack.

His co-defendant, vocal coach Omololu Akinlolu, 39, has also denied a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Chris is due to stand trial in October this year.

Chris pleaded guilty to felony assault for his attack on Rihanna and was sentenced to five years of probation. The pair got back together in 2012 and dated for around a year before they split again.
