Bec Zacharia Crashed Danny Hewitt’s Interview On MAFS: After The Experiment & It Was Explosive

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 might’ve wrapped, but Stan’s MAFS: After The Experiment has gifted us one more round of drama, with Bec Zacharia gatecrashing Danny Hewitt‘s explosive interview.

Without a doubt, MAFS 2026 has produced some of Australia’s biggest reality TV villains of all time. One of them was revealed to be Danny, who was exposed for calling out executive producers for matching him with Bec and calling Stephanie Marshall a “skank” for sharing their post-reality TV DMs with the group ahead of the Reunion Dinner Party.

“I can f*cking walk in Coles and get a better bird than that,” Danny spewed in unseen footage aired on MAFS: After The Reunion.

“I gave up my life to be here, and I could roll in Coles right now, walk into any other bird in there, and she’d be better than Bec. It can’t be no worse. It’s impossible. F*ck me.”

“Bring me better women,” he demanded in another snippet.

But following a TikTok apology — which was absolutely reamed by fans — Danny has attempted to make amends with the public by appearing on MAFS: After The Experiment.

After initially refusing to participate in a chat with hosts Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley, the 34-year-old groom eventually caved and took to the hot seat with the condition that Bec wouldn’t be there.

When Brittany asked why he didn’t want Bec to be there, he said he “has nothing against” his ex-wife, but claimed she’d been sharing “lies” about him in the media.

“I don’t want to get into a back and forth,” Danny shared (and highkey predicted).

The real estate agent went on to reveal that he’s apologised for the “repulsive” comment he made towards Steph. However, when he was asked if he’d apologised to Bec for his comments, he blamed his actions on his “dry sense of humour”.

After Laura called him out on his excuses, a backstage camera showed Bec rushing to the studio to confront Danny.

“I’ve been watching, and I just think I deserve to sit here with you because it’s pretty cowardly you wouldn’t face me,” Bec said.

“What I’m seeing is you say, ‘Rang Steph and I apologised to her’. You have not once said, ‘The way I spoke about Bec was disgusting.’ And I’ve not got an apology,” Bec added before claiming Danny said “I’m falling in love with you” during the experiment, specifically after he made the remarks about going into Coles and finding “another bird”.

Did Danny Hewitt apologise to Bec Zacharia?

When asked if he’d apologised to Bec for his actions, Danny stressed that he’d apologised for everything before the unseen footage of him speaking badly about Bec was aired on the Stan spin-off series.

“We haven’t spoke,” Danny said before explaining that he didn’t apologise because he was on “bad terms” with Bec after the show.

“There’s a lot of things she’s said about me in the press which were untrue and have cut me deep,” he continued.

When asked what lies Bec made, Danny claimed that they never had sex four times a day.

The conversation then descended into a back-and-forth between Danny and Bec, with Bec claiming she’s “never had an apology once”. When the 2026 bride probed him about what exactly he was apologising for, Bec brought up the Coles comment, to which he replied, “There are some amazing women in Coles. It’s a joke”.

Bec Zacharia calls out Danny Hewitt for deflecting

After making the botched joke, Danny attempted to apologise to Bec, “from the bottom of his heart”. But instead of taking it on board, Bec called him out for deflecting, noting that his friends have made TikToks mocking her.

Particularly Will Parfitt, the Channing Tatum look-alike who boasts more than nine million followers on TikTok, who appeared at their MAFS wedding.

The screen cut to Will’s viral video about Bec, which featured a caption that read: “Me vibing at Danny’s wedding knowing it’s going to end in divorce.”

After Laura and Bec stressed how impactful Will’s content was — especially since he’s a huge content creator — Danny laughed, and the hosts immediately shut him down.

When asked why he didn’t confront Will over his viral TikTok, Danny justified his and his friends’ antics by claiming that Bec lied about him on “multiple podcasts” and that he isn’t “looking for fame”.

“She’s called me a loser on Instagram Lives,” Danny said before accusing Laura of “attacking” him after she called him out for using Bec’s previous actions to justify his own.

The groom then went on a rant about fame and that this would be “the last time” we’ll see him on screen.

“I haven’t gone and done every podcast under the sun. I haven’t done no lives. People are saying I came on the show for fame. You’ll see who came on the show for fame six months time,” Danny spouted.

“I don’t give a f*ck about fame. Never have, never will. I’ve got no interest in fame. You’ll never see me on another TV show. You won’t see me anywhere. This is the last time you’ll see me on your screens. I’m done.”

Bec then cut in, explaining why Will’s TikTok was hurtful, especially since it was shared after their emotional Final Vows, where Danny brutally dumped Bec.

“I just want you to understand the effect that it has because for me, Final Vows was so hard, Danny,” Bec said.

“You need to understand the fact that we’ve watched Final Vows and two days later, knowing how much it broke my heart, your mates think it’s okay to mock me online. It hurts.”

Brittany Hockley calls Danny Hewitt out for the way he spoke about women

Unfortunately, the pair continued to go back and forth about Danny’s behaviour, up until Brittany chimed in to call out the groom on what he said about Bec and Steph.

“The things that you said about Bec and about Steph — the problem that brings is that you’re allowing these things and the conversations about women to be OK,” Brittany said.

“You are setting the standard for every other man to say, ‘Hey, I can talk about women like that with my friends ‘cos it’s not to their face’. And I think it’s really important that you understand that that’s not OK because you are just perpetuating this cycle that men can continue to speak about women like that.”

Danny went on to say he “understands” the impact of his actions in the unseen footage and that he “deeply regrets” what he said about Bec and Steph.

“It’s not OK to speak about women like that,” he stressed.

“I can’t go back in time. I can’t take it back. All I can do is take accountability. Apologise for my actions. I’m not going to shy away from it.”

Although Danny didn’t want Bec on the couch with him, he did say it was “nice” to have this discussion on the show. As for Bec, she appreciated Danny’s apology. However, she remains shocked over the remarks he made about her in the unseen footage.

“I’m sitting in hurt. I think we go our separate way and we go with respect,” Bec said before shaking each other’s hands, promising they will treat each other with respect after this mini reunion.

WELP. Now, it’s officially a wrap from the MAFS 2026 gang. However, Bec has said she would be down to do Married At First Sight again… Yeah, IDK about that after *those* Dinner Parties. But at the end of the day, that diva deserves love.
